Today the Prime Minister made announcements in his speech at the Conservative Party Conference about cancelling stages of HS2 and creating a new Network North. Network North is a range of major investments in improving transport in the north of England.
Resident in the South Beach area have been contacting me with their continued concerns about the closure of South Beach Library so we have taken it up with the Council and I'm pleased to say that they are working on it now and plan to re-open it this year.
My third annual Blyth Valley Jobs Fair which was held at Byth Sports Centre on Friday 15th September was a great success. Hundreds of people of a wide range of ages, but many of them young, attended and met with dozens of employers.

Parliamentary recess is now finished, I have really enjoyed getting around Blyth Valley delivering surveys, meeting constituents and visiting businesses and community organisations. Westminster welcomed me back with glorious sunshine and a busy schedule.
